Performance

During this performance I present the discipline set design and surface design, by creating an actual design. Instead of using only a pencil and eraser I made a sketch with 2 actors, who represent the spirit of the design. Their language is movement, which will be performed energetically.

The title of this performance is: BEYOND A SHADOW OF DOUBT – “You don’t need eyes to see, you need vision”.

My father, son of a KNIL Soldier, born and raised in the tangsi, married with a nona kaya a daughter of a Tuan Besar from East Java.Together they have 4 children of which I am one. My blood is composed of terasi, keju, tempeh and Dutch croquette. A blend of 2 cultures in which I am raised.

A cube represents solidity, courage, decisiveness, order, control, protection and on the uppermost pulse the capacity to create.
